World Parkinson's Day 2025: NVGF Connects China and Netherlands Against Parkinson's

On World Parkinson's Day, April 11, 2025, NVGF organized "Knock-Out Parkinson Worldwide," connecting patients and therapists from Bengbu Central Hospital in China and Medisport Etten-Leur in the Netherlands.

The live Zoom session combined Parkinson Boxing and Tai Chi, led by Marcus Janssen and Tai Chi Master Ou, with support from Peng Gao, Toby Mensen, and Ruud Wijnings.

This unique event highlighted the power of global healthcare cooperation. Despite being 9,000 km apart, patients exercised together, encouraging each other through the screen. The training included strength training, balance exercises, interactive games, and a calming tai chi session.

Patients expressed appreciation for the guidance and the opportunity to connect with others facing similar challenges. The session ended with smiling faces and a shared sense of global community in the fight against Parkinson's.
