NVGF Visits Groenhuysen in the Netherlands

In July 2019, NVGF visited de Bloemschevaert Rehabilitation Centre in Etten-Leur together with a delegation from China. This location is managed by the Groenhuysen Foundation. The visit aimed to exchange knowledge on chronic disease management, elderly care training and rehabilitation practices, further strengthening our commitment to international cooperation in elderly healthcare.

During the visit, NVGF representatives met with Marjolein, CEO of Groenhuysen Foundation, and Marcus Janssen, member of NVGF and healthcare manager at Groenhuysen Foundation. Discussions focused on current developments in elderly care and potential areas for collaboration.

NVGF shared updates on successful projects already underway in China, including community elderly care systems, dementia care, rehabilitation training, and university collaborations. Both sides expressed interest in partnering to bring Dutch elderly care expertise to China. The visit concluded with a tour of the rehabilitation centre.
